There are no words on how proud I am capturing this moment today.
Patches, enjoying a Sunday hike.
Well, daddy accidentally made a mistake and booked a non pet hotel. I am grateful my gremlins are well mannered. The front desk clerk gave us a “hall pass” and let us stay. I captured their moment, taking in “the good life.”
My rockstars, Patches and Cali.
Cali in mid-air flight. She truly is a free spirit; running though an open field in the December rain.
10 years of flyball, world champion, over 40 tournaments, 150,000 miles plus. Patches is offically retired from the four legged relay race. He now will enjoy a simple kind of life; I think I will join him.
Patches and I in Utah (final tournament)
A Sunday morning stroll with the dogs; capturing the serene colors and energy of the people.
This face turns sad days into happy ones. (Cali).
Prelude to my next article on the dog sport we call flyball. My dog, Patches, has been through hell and back with me. During all this time, he has played in over 30 flyball tournaments, traveled over 150,000 miles in six states, has had the record time for Australian Cattle Dogs, and is finally retiring with over 20,000 points as a Top Flight Expert Dog. I wouldn’t know what to do without him.
